Highland Park Furniture and Mattress Outlet is a privately owned Florida corporation. We opened for business in January 2004 as an authorized licensee of Burdines, a Florida department store. We conducted business as Burdines Furniture and Mattress Clearance Center by Highland Park Furniture.
Burdines was owned by Federated Department Stores who also owned Macy's as well as other regional department store chains throughout the country. Early in 2004 Federated Department Stores consolidated most of these various department stores into their most recognized brand, Macy's. For one year we operated as Burdines-Macy's Furniture and Mattress Clearance Center by Highland Park Furniture before changing to Macy's Furniture and Mattress Clearance Center by Highland Park Furinture when the nationwide conversion to Macy's was complete.
On November 30th, 2012 our licensing agreement expired and was not renewed. On December 1st, 2012 we began doing business as Highland Park Furniture & Mattress Outlet. Our business model has not changed; we continue to buy factory closeouts, discontinued items, showroom samples, canceled orders and overstocks from around the world to offer our customers the very best values in the furniture business. As you browse through our showroom and website, you'll see exciting furniture and mattress special buys at prices substantially lower than those at other furniture stores.
From Fall 2007 to Fall 2012, TampaFurniture.com was the online showcase for our latest arrivals. In December 2012 we changed the website to HighlandParkFurniture.net.
Please visit our 50,000 sf store in Tampa/Brandon to see the enormous selection of discount fine furniture from around the world. We're open to the public seven days a week all year (except Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas).
